It is with deep respect and sorrow that this song was written. It took me ten years to find the courage to sing it. This song is a simple tribute to remember her. Many dreams disappeared during this time including my dream to sing mariachi with her. I knew at that time that it would be a great combination. As a songwriter I was looking for the right artist for my songs but it was not easy to find, so after such a long time, I decided to sing them myself. I know this song will bring back many memories. As a composer I feel compelled to share what was in my heart for so many years. If God gave me the inspiration and the talent to honor a great star, I can’t disappoint HIM. For legal reasons we cannot use her name or likeness! But we all know who she was! A Star of Texas!
Fue con un profundo respeto y dolor que esta canción se escribió. Me tomó diez años para encontrar el valor para cantarla. Ésta canción es un simple tributo para recordárla. Muchos sueños desaparecieron durante éste tiempo, incluyendo mi sueño de cantar con mariachi a dueto. Yo pensaba entonces que hubiera sido una gran combinación. Como compositor buscaba al artista correcto para mis canciónes, mas no fue facil. Por eso despues del tiempo, decidí cantar mis canciones you mismo. Se que esta canción traerá algunos recuerdos. Como compositor me siento obligado a compartir con ustedes lo que ha estádo en mi corazón por tantos años. Si Dios me dió la inspiración y el talento para honrar a una gran estrella, no puedo decepcionar a Dios! Por rezones legales, no podemos utilizar el nombre o imagen de ELLA!
